The Business of Beer // BUSINESS 22
Shane Welch, President, Sixpoint Craft Ales
Friday, July 1st from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
In this class, Shane Welch, president of Sixpoint Craft Ales will provide an overview of the artisan brewery scene today, the flowering of craft product culture in Brooklyn and the tactics that have allowed the microbrwery to succesfully challenge the Big Three - the powerful triumvirate of Bud, Miller and Coors. In addition, he'll discuss the art and science of making one of Brooklyn's best-loved craft beers.
Shane Welch is the founder and brewmaster of Sixpoint Craft Ales, founded in 2004 in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Note: attendees to this session are invited to enjoy Sixpoint beers with GA Members at GA Friday Happy Hour, right after the class.
